EHA HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
The High School Program at Emerald Heights Academy serves 9th through 10th grade students, offering classical liberal arts instruction three days each week during the school year. Courses offered include::
History – Ancient Greece/Rome, Medieval/Renaissance, American, and Modern History in rotation
English – In conjunction with History. Includes Composition
Catholic Studies – Using the Didache Series
Latin – Wheelock I and II
Science – Chemistry/Physics and Biology in rotation
Math – Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II
EHA HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY
Julianne Flynn has taught History classes for middle and high school homeschooled students since 2004, and Literature and Biology at the high school level for the past two years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of San Francisco, and also graduated from the Saint Ignatius Institute, a Catholic Liberal Arts program also at USF.
April Bauer has taught Latin for 14 years at various academic levels including high school and college. She was the full-time Latin teacher and International Language Chair at O’Dea High School in Seattle from 2006 to 2014. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin and Classics from University of Washington, April also completed a year of post-graduate studies in Latin and Italian at Duke University and earned a Master’s degree in Classics at San Francisco State University.
